About me

My name is Nora Marketos and I've spent 17+ years leading multi-million dollar social impact initiatives across Africa, the Middle East and Latin America, most recently designing and leading a CHF 30M+ annual portfolio at the Jacobs Foundation focused on quality education, EdTech and evidence-based programs.

In that work, I saw a consistent gap: talented professionals struggled to find opportunities aligned with their values and expertise. Organizations spent months searching for the right person. Generic job boards weren't built for this sector's complexity. I founded PurposePhil Career in 2025 to close that gap.

Today I split my year between strategic consulting on collaborative strategies for foundations and social impact organizations, mentoring mid-senior professionals through career transitions and intentional career alignment, and running seasonally a boutique hotel on the Greek island of Kefalonia. I live that portfolio life myself, and it shapes everything I build.
