Background

We are a small Christian NGO with a big vision: to bring hope, transformation, and opportunity to the children and young people of Kibera, one of Africa’s largest informal settlements. Our work is grounded in Christian values, a commitment to education, and a heart for the community we serve.

Your Mission as CEO:

Lead with Vision: Drive the organisation’s strategic direction, in close collaboration with the Board, keeping our Christian mission at the centre.

Fundraise Boldly: Develop and execute a dynamic fundraising strategy that builds long-term financial sustainability. You’ll engage individual donors, churches, foundations, corporates, and more.

Represent the Mission: Act as the organisation’s primary ambassador—building relationships with community leaders, funders, and partners locally and globally.

Ensure Accountability: Oversee budgeting, governance, risk management, and compliance—upholding financial integrity and safeguarding standards.

Inspire the Team: Lead a small but passionate team with humility, clarity, and care. Build a healthy culture of collaboration, excellence, and service.

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

Is a committed Christian, with a heart for justice and transformation.

Has proven experience in leadership, preferably in a non-profit or cross-cultural context.

Understands the complexity of working in informal urban settlements.

Can confidently lead fundraising and build strong, lasting donor relationships.

Brings strong financial and operational management skills.

Thrives under pressure, remains grounded in faith, and does not give up easily.
