As we scale our platform and deepen our impact, we're seeking a visionary Director of Strategic Partnerships to lead relationship-building and drive the next phase of growth through transformational partnerships.
Role Summary
The Director of Strategic Partnerships will spearhead the design and execution of our partnership strategy—connecting FieldWorkz with global institutions, governments, corporates, and technology platforms to unlock growth, drive revenue, and amplify impact across Africa.
This leader will cultivate high-value collaborations, secure multi-year engagements, and represent FieldWorkz at the highest levels—bringing to life our bold vision of democratizing data for good.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Design and execute a strategic partnership roadmap aligned with FieldWorkz' business model, mission, and expansion goals.
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities through partnerships that unlock access to data, funding, innovation, or large-scale programs.
- Advise the executive team on market trends, institutional partnerships, and emerging ecosystem opportunities.
Partnership Development
- Initiate, structure, and close new strategic alliances and multi-stakeholder partnerships across development, private, and public sectors.
- Lead high-level negotiations, co-create partnership proposals, and secure long-term agreements with multilaterals, donors, governments, and enterprise clients.
- Foster relationships with key partners including World Bank, USAID, UN agencies, tech platforms, and other anchor institutions.
Cross-Functional Integration
- Work with FieldWorkz' Product, Insights, Growth, and Operations teams to align internal delivery capabilities with partnership requirements.
- Support co-designed data programs, pilot projects, or platform integrations driven by external partnerships.
Business Development & Fundraising
- Collaborate with the CEO and Business Development team to secure co-investment, joint RFP opportunities, or catalytic funding through partnerships.
- Represent FieldWorkz at global and regional convenings to strengthen visibility, position the brand, and cultivate new alliances.
Impact Measurement & Management
- Define partnership KPIs and success metrics in line with company growth goals.
- Track, manage, and report on partnership health, impact, and revenue contribution using dashboards and strategic reviews.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Policy, Development, Data/Tech, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in partnerships, business development, or strategy—ideally in data, tech, research, or international development.
- Proven experience closing large-scale partnerships with governments, multilateral agencies, donors, or corporates.
- Deep understanding of Africa's development and innovation landscape.
