We run programmes in the remotest corners of India and urban areas in the areas of Health & Nutrition, Education, Child Protection and Livelihood & Economic Wellbeing in order to facilitate quality education, healthcare and protection from harm and abuse and life-saving aid during emergencies to children.
ROLE PURPOSE
The project coordinator would be responsible for direct on ground implementation & monitoring of the project deliverables in the project geography. S/he will be responsible for the day-to-day planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of the Har Boond Surakshit (Every Drop Safe) Initiative, supported by Kohler. The role focuses on improving WASH infrastructure, strengthening hygiene behaviour, building school and community ownership and ensuring a sustainable model across two Government Senior Secondary Schools in Wazirabad, Gurugram. The project coordinator will work closely with school authorities, civil engineer, vendors, children, teachers to ensure all project deliverables are completed in timely, high-quality and accountable manner.

Context: Development
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
- Based on the objectives set forth under the Project, ensure the planning and implementation of the deliverables of the project
- Develop and track the project key documents such as LFA, milestones, detailed implementation plan, MIS, risk management plan, procurement plan, stakeholder engagement plan, project budget etc. & undertake periodic reviews of the same as well as continuously strive to achieve the project outcomes and milestones as set forth in the project
- Coordinate with facilitator for undertaking field activities effectively and monitor as well as oversee day to day operations.
- Liaise with engineer and vendors and monitor civil works
- Liaison with stakeholders at local, district level & Govt. Officials in the project intervention area.
- Furnish relevant information (both programmatic and financial) as and when asked by the line manager
- Identify important and key stakeholders of the project and develop a stakeholder engagement plan as well as track the plan to achieve the objectives set forth under the project
- Responsible for training and capacity building activities for the project staff and key stakeholders including children, teachers, parents, school committee members and student WASH champions, to strengthen knowledge and adoption of safe water, sanitation and hygiene practices
- Plan and undertake regular project monitoring through field visits, review meetings as per plan and provide guidance/feedback to the project team; Analyze and evaluate data and/or take progressive action in discussion with line manager, when necessary to meet programme/project objectives
- Ensure timely, accurate and effective reporting (viz. annual/half-yearly, quarterly/monthly reports, information requests, activity status updates, queries, field visits, donor engagement calendar etc)
- Coordinate and liaison with district level CSO network and alliances required for the project
- Coordinate and liaison with different Govt. departments –Education, District Administration
- Ensure implementation of Child Safeguarding with in the project scope
- Any other task as assigned by the line manager

QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate/Post Graduate in any disciple from a recognized university or college is essential. Weightage will be given to candidates with degree in Public Health
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- 2-3 years of experience with a reputed NGO in project implementation role. Preference will be given to the candidates having experience in Health & WASH programs

The duties and responsibilities as set out above are not exhaustive and the role holder may be required to carry out additional duties within reasonableness of their level of skills and experience.
CHILD SAFEGUARDING (Strike out whichever is not applicable)
Level 1: The role holder will not have contact with children and/or young people, or access to personal data about children or young people, as part of their work; therefore a police check will not be mandatory unless the content or location of the role changes, in which case the Child Safeguarding level will be reviewed.
Level 2: Either the role holder will have access to personal data about children and/or young people as part of their work; or they will be working in a ‘regulated’ position (Finance, Monitoring & Evaluation, Legal etc.); therefore a police check will be required.
Level 3: The role holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work in programs; or are visiting programs; therefore a police check will be required.
