Summary/Objective
The Director of Grants Management is responsible for overseeing the grants life cycle, including the grant application process, managing grant reports, and ensuring compliance with grant requirements and deadlines. This role includes oversight of the grants management system, tracking multiple deadlines, ensuring effective coordination with the Programs, Finance, and Communications groups, and providing internal support and expertise to the grants management group staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversees the administration of the grants management system for internal users and external applicants, serving as the subject matter expert on data reporting and analytics within the system.
- Ensures the grants management process adheres to legal and compliance requirements.
- Understands and implements changes to grant programs as needed.
- Uses continuous process improvement approaches to increase the quality of grants management services.
- Develops and provides needed grant reports and analysis to staff and leadership.
- Monitors operations and process performance by collecting and assessing qualitative and quantitative metrics.
- Responsible for seeking out new developments in grant management best practices and grants management system software releases and their applicability to the needs of the Foundation.
Qualifications
- Alignment with the Foundation’s mission and vision.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience handling different aspects of an organization’s grants management activities, and three years or more of management experience, including grants system oversight and report preparation for governance.
- Proven grants management expertise and ability to manage deadlines.
- Experience with grants management systems, non-profit or philanthropic experience preferred.
- Results in relationship building within a cross-functional team.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or above in an applicable discipline is desired. Experience can substitute.

- Occasional travel may be required.

Compensation
- Job Classification: Salaried, Overtime Exempt
- Pay Range: $123,000 - $205,000
