At DataDrive2030, we believe that better evidence should lead to better decisions and ultimately better outcomes for children. We are looking for a Learning Product Manager to lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of our adult learning products. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who combines instructional design, product thinking, and a passion for creating engaging learning experiences.
The Learning Product Manager owns the end-to-end design, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of DD2030’s learning products. This role combines instructional design, product management, quality assurance, and user-centred design to ensure every training product – from manuals and videos to facilitator guides and digital resources – is engaging, intuitive, scalable, and delivers consistent learning outcomes across the national workforce.
Key Functions & Responsibilities
1. Learning Experience Strategy & Design
- Design end-to-end learning journeys for assessors, trainers, and the Master Trainer.
- Create engaging learning experiences that combine instructor-led training, video, practice activities, evaluation tools, and field application.
- Apply adult learning principles, behavioural science, and instructional design methodologies to maximise learning retention.
- Continuously improve learning experiences based on learner feedback, trainer observations, and field performance.
- Design learning pathways that support progression from onboarding through accreditation and ongoing Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
2. Learning Product Portfolio Management
- Own DD2030’s portfolio of learning products and develop the product roadmap.
- Prioritise improvements using user feedback and organisational priorities.
- Manage the product lifecycle from creation through updates and changes made to the tools themselves.
- Define governance, ownership, and release management while maintaining product standards, templates, and version control.
3. Curriculum & Content Development
- Lead the development of training material across all ELOM tools.
- Lead the development of the Universal Manual and own the Train-the-Trainer curriculum.
- Design refresher programmes and CPD learning pathways.
- Translate complex technical or methodological updates into clear, practical learning products.
4. Multimedia Production & Operations
- Manage the production of engaging videos, demonstrations, animations, photographs, infographics, and digital learning resources.
- Maintain the central repository for all training materials, tools, and collateral.
- Manage version control, naming conventions, approval workflows, and release schedules to ensure every trainer always has the correct version.
5. Quality Management & Team Collaboration
- Develop feedback loops and analyse assessor, candidate, and trainer feedback to measure learning effectiveness.
- Coach and develop the Skills Development Coordinator, support the Master Trainer, and build communities of practice.
- Work closely with other Business Units on joint projects to ensure smooth handovers.

Qualifications
- Required: A Bachelor’s degree (NQF Level 7) or equivalent qualification.
- Preferred Fields: Education, Learning Design, Instructional Design, Psychology, Organisational Psychology, Human Resource Development, Adult Learning, Occupational Therapy, Product Design, UX Design, Digital Learning, or Communications.

Experience
- 5 – 8 years’ experience designing, developing, and managing learning products, instructional programmes, or training systems.
- Demonstrated experience owning the end-to-end lifecycle of learning products from needs analysis through to evaluation.
- Experience developing learning products across multiple formats including facilitator guides, manuals, videos, digital resources, and assessments.
- Experience gathering user feedback, analysing learning data, and iterating products based on evidence.
- Experience leading Train-the-Trainer programmes and managing creative production processes with multimedia creators.
