Your mission
The Regional Coordinator supports effective programme delivery by coordinating programme operations within a region and across regions. The role ensures timely information flow, reliable grant making process support, and day-to-day operational alignment with regional and organisational strategic priorities. Working closely with the Regional Director, Programme teams, and colleagues across functions, the Regional Coordinator enables smooth collaboration in a matrixed environment. The role supports grant making processes, regional planning, and reporting by keeping data, processes, and communications well organised, visible, and on track, contributing to coherent and well-coordinated programme delivery.
As part of the Programmes team, the Regional Coordinator is working on two regions and reports into a Regional Director. This is a full‑time position (38 hours), based in Leiden, the Netherlands.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Regional Director in day-to-day operations: Manage scheduling, documentation, and follow-up for regional priorities.
- Coordinate grant-making processes within region: In coordination with Programmes Strategy & Delivery Lead track pipeline, ensure timely submissions, and maintain accurate grant data.
- Coordinate a matrixed grant-making process by supporting collaboration across teams and ensuring each grant involves the appropriate Officers and advisors.
- Monitor regional budgets and forecasts: Consolidate financial data and flag variances for review.
- Facilitate cross-regional collaboration: Share learnings, align processes, and coordinate joint initiatives with other Regional Coordinators.
- Prepare routine reports and presentations: Compile regional updates for leadership, governance bodies, and external stakeholders.
- Maintain partner engagement data: Ensure accurate records and support
- relationship management efforts.
- Track progress and deadlines: Monitor deliverables and escalate risks or delays
- promptly.
- Support regional strategy processes: Coordinate inputs and maintain visibility on
- progress against goals.
- Act as a communication link across functions: Ensure timely flow of information in
- the Programmes department.
Your profile
You have:
- Experience in programme coordination or project management roles.
- Experience in international work environments.
- Familiarity with grant-making and budget tracking.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Expertise in project management.
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management.
- Expertise in data consolidation and reporting.
