DESCRIPTION
For high-quality, inclusive, and equitable educational opportunities (as outlined in UNESCO’s 4th Sustainable Development Goal) to be provided for all children, InEd looks to close the gap through contextualized capacity building, educational system strengthening, community-based solutions, and data-driven advocacy. Through ongoing research, we seek to continually improve our projects and evidence both our impact and the challenges faced in marginalized communities. We believe research is a powerful advocacy tool and we are continually building partnerships with universities to further our impact. We also want to give back to communities in need. Through fundraising, we are committed to responding to needs in our communities as they arise: ensuring we stay relevant and always listening to community voices.
Based in Mae Sot, Thailand, the Education Specialist (MERL focus) works across all projects to support organizational learning and evidencing programmatic impact. The Education Specialist will also support educational research and design and deliver high-impact and innovative training. This role requires travel to locations throughout Thailand and the ability to work in close collaboration with a wide variety of educational stakeholders.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead organizational learning across all domains and projects of InEd
- Strengthen and develop impact monitoring, quality benchmarks, and project-level reporting
- Implementation of education support projects, including educational research, capacity building, and technical support
- Supervise delivery of field work and provide mentoring, coaching, and structured professional development
- Contribute strongly to the development and design of high-quality project proposals, activity workplans, and reports
- Provide project staff with technical guidance, oversight and support for the development and delivery of education projects
- Designing educational trainings, workshops, and capacity building projects in close collaboration with staff and education partners
- Support development of creative media resources including videos, visual aids, and presentations

QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of five years of experience in the education field, ideally in SE Asia
- Experience conducting educational research, project monitoring, and evaluations
- Advanced/academic level of English
- Strong technical knowledge of education issues, educational research, and programming
- Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and develop a team to deliver results
- Demonstrated ability to create strong and productive professional relationships, both internally and with community-based organizations, partner NGOs, government agencies and local communities
- Proven sound strategic thinking and planning skills, including ability to think creatively and be innovative, set priorities, manage work plans, and evaluate progress
- Masters in an education field is preferred, but not required
