Job Description
At Minderoo Foundation, we are working to Forge a Fairer Future through bold, evidence-based philanthropy. To help us measure, understand, and communicate the impact of our work, we are seeking a highly skilled Manager, Impact Measurement & Data.
In this role, you will lead a high-performing team to drive impact measurement and learning across our diverse strategic portfolio. You will apply both quantitative and qualitative data expertise to generate insights that inform decision-making, strengthen accountability, and tell compelling, data-driven stories about our impact to senior leaders, partners, and the public.
You are an independent thinker and skilled communicator with a deep grounding in data science and evaluation. You thrive in complexity, excel at translating insights for diverse audiences, and bring both technical and people leadership strengths.
Key Responsibilities
Measurement
- Lead teams to define programmatic performance, outcome, and impact measures aligned to our Theories of Change and organisation-wide framework.
- Support operationalisation of key measures through clear definitions, indicators, and data mapping.
Data Management & Preparation
- Review and refine data collection strategies and tools to ensure alignment with organisational frameworks.
- Develop data collection tools and establish fit-for-purpose data structures.
- Aggregate, prepare, and quality-assure data for analysis and reporting.
- Build organisational data capacity through training and support.
Data Analysis
- Develop and execute analysis plans to answer evaluation questions and reporting needs.
- Apply advanced statistical methods (e.g., ANOVA, multivariate, longitudinal, multilevel modelling) using Excel and statistical packages.
- Create data visualisations and clear communications for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ensure analyses are replicable for effective knowledge sharing.
Reporting & Communication
- Prepare high-quality reports, briefs, and presentations for executives, the Board, partners, and public audiences.
- Translate complex findings into actionable insights and compelling narratives.
- Support the delivery of organisational impact reports and dashboards.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Inspire and empower your team while modelling our One Minderoo Culture.
- Foster open collaboration across a matrix structure, holding people accountable and supporting results-focused delivery.
- Build strong relationships internally and externally, influencing and aligning diverse perspectives.
Qualifications
Essential:
- 8+ years’ experience in data analysis, impact measurement, or evaluation.
- Expertise in statistical analysis, data management, and performance measurement.
- Advanced skills in BI tools (e.g. Power BI) and statistical software.
- Strong communication skills, with experience engaging senior leaders and non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Degree in a relevant field (e.g., data science, economics, social policy, sustainability, information sciences); advanced degree preferred.
Desirable:
- Experience with cloud platforms, CRM data, data-prep tools, public datasets, and/or survey design.
- Familiarity with Minderoo’s focus areas (e.g., climate, gender equality, community resilience).
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in leadership.
