Role Summary
The Senior Director of Impact Programs will help design and deliver The Conduit’s most ambitious, cross-sector impact programs and initiatives building the models, partnerships, and delivery systems that bring the Solutions Lab to life. The role blends strategic thinking and operational excellence, leading complex, multi-partner programs from concept to measurable impact.
Overview
The Conduit is a global community and platform dedicated to accelerating solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges. Through our Solutions Agenda and Foundation, we bring together people, ideas, and capital to turn inspiration into action.
Launching in 2026, the Solutions Lab will serve as the platform for delivering real-world impact through our clubs, convenings, and partnerships. The Lab builds on a series of successful pilot programs launched in 2025 and will prototype, test, and scale models that drive measurable change across themes such as Climate & Resilience, AI for Good, Food & Health, and Inclusive Economies.
Working closely with the Chief Impact Officer and cross-functional teams, the Senior Director will design and deliver high-impact programs, manage multi-stakeholder delivery, and codify replicable frameworks that strengthen The Conduit’s impact engine.
This position is ideal for a strategic builder and operator — someone who thrives on bringing big ideas to life, leading cross-sector teams, and balancing intellectual rigor with operational discipline: shaping both the what and the how of impact.
Key Responsibilities
Program Design & Model Building
- Design and develop large, multi-partner programs under the Solutions Lab, translating thematic priorities into actionable, measurable initiatives
- Build delivery frameworks and governance structures that ensure clarity, accountability, and replicability across programs.
- Partner with the Chief Impact Officer and Partnerships team to scope opportunities, shape proposals, develop budgets, and structure delivery plans.
- Codify delivery models and toolkits — such as coalition-building, solution-scouting, and systems-change approaches — that strengthen The Conduit’s institutional muscle.
Program Oversight & Delivery
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and evolution of multiple programs, ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency across delivery.
- Maintain regular engagement with funders and partners to ensure alignment, collaboration, and continuous ideation throughout the process.
- Manage complex project plans with multiple workstreams, ensuring all components align with program objectives and deliver tangible outcomes.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (Partnerships, Programs, Foundation, Communications, Finance) and external partners to ensure seamless execution and collaboration.
- Work closely with the ESG and Foundation Directors to support monitoring, reporting, and reflection processes that capture learning and demonstrate progress toward impact goals.
Program Strategy & Content
- Cutting across The Conduit’s core Solutions Agenda areas (i.e. Inclusive Economies, Climate & Nature), the Senior Director will connect insights, partners, and innovations across themes to surface new ideas, shape narratives, and translate into actionable programs and partnerships.
- Serve as the intellectual and operational backbone of each program — grounding delivery in rigorous analysis, clear logic, and actionable insight.
- Lead and synthesize research, data, and systems analysis to inform direction, validate assumptions, and guide strategic decisions.
- Translate insights and evidence into practical strategies that drive execution and measurable impact.
- Implement community-based and participatory approaches that engage key stakeholders directly in program design and delivery.
- Facilitate regular problem-solving and reflection sessions with teams and partners to refine approaches, address challenges, and sustain momentum.
- Ensure all program content — from framing documents to convening materials and partner outputs — demonstrates intellectual rigor and strategic clarity.
Convening Integration
- Work in close partnership with the Convening, Content and Events Delivery teams to ensure convenings are embedded within program strategies and advance impact goals.
- Align agendas, participants, and partnerships so that convenings serve the delivery and learning objectives of each program.
- Ensure key insights, ideas, and opportunities surfaced through convenings are captured, synthesized, and integrated into ongoing work.
Financial Management
- Develop and manage program budgets, track financial performance, and ensure efficient use of resources across initiatives.
- Oversee contracts, vendor relationships, and partner contributions to ensure alignment with scope, timelines, and deliverables.
- Contribute to business development by providing programmatic inputs and financial clarity for partnership and funding proposals.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Supervise and mentor a small, growing team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and delivery excellence.
- Provide structure, guidance, and professional development for program staff and matrixed contributors.
- Lead team-building and role-definition processes to ensure clarity of responsibilities, alignment with organizational priorities, and high performance across cross-functional teams.
- Select, onboard, and integrate external consultants and partners effectively, ensuring their work strengthens internal capacity and contributes to overall program goals.
- Work closely with colleagues across the organization to ensure that programs are integrated with communications, convening, and membership strategies.
Qualifications
- 10–15 years of experience in management consulting, systems-change work, or large-scale program delivery in social impact, philanthropy, or sustainability contexts.
- Proven experience leading multi-stakeholder programs with complex governance, partnerships, and outcomes.
- Strong program management and budgeting expertise, with fluency in financial oversight and contract management.
- Deep analytical and problem-solving skills — able to synthesize complexity and drive clarity.
- Excellent communicator and relationship-builder, comfortable operating across senior, cross-sector networks.
- Experience managing small teams and fostering collaboration across functions.
- Entrepreneurial and adaptive mindset — thrives in building from the ground up in a fast-evolving organization.
