The Learning for Well-being Foundation (L4WB-F) is seeking a consultant based in the Netherlands to support qualitative data collection for an educational research project.
Location: Netherlands mostly Rotterdam & Utrecht
Start Date: 15th of April 2025
Duration: 25-30 working days between April and December 2026
Contract Type: Short-term consultancy
Availability: Must be available to start in 15th of April 2026 and work for 25-30 days until December 2026

Role Overview
The consultant will play a key role in gathering insights to inform our work on building good-quality evidence. During the focus groups, the consultant should ensure the presence of an additional assistant or researcher to support and conduct the discussions. Responsibility for arranging this support lies with the consultant.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct qualitative data collection, including interviews (up to 12 online or in person if feasible) and focus groups (max 12, in person preferably).
- Ensure culturally appropriate and ethical data collection practices.
- Collaborate with the project team to implement research methodologies and translate them into Dutch.
- Provide transcriptions (in Dutch) of collected data and field notes.
- Provide recordings of interviews and focus groups.
- Deliver a summary report with key insights form the interviews and focus groups.
Qualifications & Criteria
- Fluency in Dutch and English (spoken and written) is essential.
- Experience in qualitative research methods (e.g., interviews, focus groups).
- Strong understanding of education, well-being, and social change.
- Ability to engage with diverse community members and stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Based in the Netherlands.
