For every child, hope
In 2018, UNICEF signed a Basic Cooperation Agreement (BCA) with the State of Qatar; and created an Office in 2019, reflective of the growing relationship between Qatar and UNICEF, resulting in the rapid expansion of national programme in Qatar.
The Qatar office is part of UNICEF’s subregional program for the Gulf Area, which also includes Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. The subregional initiative concentrates on four key areas: early childhood development, child protection, improving data and evidence on children, and enhancing partnerships and resources for child welfare.
