We are looking to commission an evaluation of the Ideas and Pioneers Fund and grants awarded in 2024/25 and to follow up with earlier grant holders.
Paul Hamlyn Foundation (PHF) is one of the largest independent grant-making organisations in the UK. We use our resources to support social change, working towards a just and equitable society in which everyone, especially young people, can realise their full potential and enjoy fulfilling and creative lives.
Launched in 2016, our Ideas and Pioneers Fund supports individuals and groups who want to explore ideas for social change. The Fund has a particular focus on supporting people with experience of the issues or systems that they are interested in changing.
We want to commission an organisation / consultant(s) to draw out learning from the Ideas and Pioneers Fund and to help us understand the experiences of recent and past grant holders. The findings will help inform PHF’s practice and the direction of the fund.
There are two aspects to the brief. The first focuses on the evaluation of the fund and grants awarded in 2024/25. The second is following up with previous grant holders from the fund iterations between 2016 and 2022/23. This strand aims to understand the experiences for grant holders since the end of their grants and how the fund contributed to their journeys.
