Organizational Context
Edraak develops and delivers Arabic-first online learning experiences at scale. This role bridges learning design and program delivery—ensuring courses and learning programs are pedagogically strong, production-ready, and delivered on time through Edraak’s platform and partner programs.
Role Summary
The Programs Specialist is a key part of Edraak’s programs and content development team. The Specialist leads on as well as supports end-to-end delivery of Edraak e-learning programs and courses—coordinating instructional design quality, content development, production, launch, and continuous improvement—while assisting project planning, execution, risk management, reporting, and stakeholder coordination to deliver against scope, timeline, budget, and quality standards. This is also applied to projects delivered in a hybrid or offline environment for youth, professionals, and more, effectively leveraging Edraak’s content, courses, and adaptability to achieve real-world outcomes.
Key Task Areas
A) Instructional Design Coordination & Learning Quality
- Translate program goals into learning outcomes, high-level course structures, assessment approaches, and learner pathways.
- Coordinate with Learning Experience/Instructional Designers and SMEs to ensure pedagogy aligns with Edraak standards and target audiences.
- Guide SME scripting and content preparation (lesson scripts, activities, assessments, rubrics) and ensure content accuracy through editorial review.
- Ensure inclusive, accessible, and mobile-friendly learning experiences (clear language, usable activities, and practical application).
- Support localization and adaptation (Arabic-first delivery; bilingual assets when required) while maintaining consistency in tone and quality.
- Leading in production, post-production and editing processes, providing creative insights in coordination with SMEs and production teams.
- Supporting course building and quality assurance on the Edraak platform, prior to course launch.
B) Content Production, Platform Build & Publishing
- Plan and manage the course production pipeline (recording, editing, interactive build, QA, and publishing) with production and platform teams.
- Ensure assets are complete and production-ready (scripts, slides, visuals, assessments, metadata) and meet publishing requirements.
- Coordinate course builds on the Edraak platform/LMS, including structure, navigation, assessments, certificates/badges (when applicable), and learner communications.
- Run QA checklists and sign-off processes; coordinate revisions post-launch based on learner feedback, performance data, and stakeholder inputs.
C) Project Management & Delivery Oversight
- Develop end-to-end project plans (scope, workplan/WBS, milestones, deliverables, and resourcing) for multiple concurrent courses/programs.
- Track progress against timelines and dependencies; proactively identify bottlenecks and drive resolutions with cross-functional teams.
- Manage budgets and operational workflows (procurement/contracting, vendor coordination, payments) in collaboration with relevant teams.
- Manage change requests and ensure impacts on scope, schedule, and budget are documented and communicated.
- Maintain a risk register, implement mitigation actions, and escalate issues with clear options and recommendations.
D) Stakeholder & Partner Coordination
- Coordinate with internal teams (Content, Learning Design, Production, Product/Platform, Marketing/Growth, Learner Support, Data/Insights) to ensure aligned execution and launch readiness.
- Engage with external partners (universities, ministries, NGOs, donors, corporate partners, instructors/SMEs, vendors) and maintain clear communication, expectations, and timelines.
- Prepare meeting agendas, capture action items, and follow through to closure; represent Edraak professionally in partner engagements when needed.
E) Monitoring, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Define delivery and learning performance indicators with relevant teams (e.g., engagement, completion, satisfaction) and track them across the program lifecycle.
- Produce clear progress updates and periodic reports (narrative and operational/financial where applicable) for internal leadership and partners/donors.
- Facilitate retrospectives/lessons learned and turn insights into improvements to processes, templates, and course design standards.
- Work with marketing and learner engagement teams to support launches and post-launch communications that drive participation and retention.
Requirements
Required Competencies
E-learning & Instructional Design
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles, online pedagogy, and assessment design; ability to QA learning experiences against standards.
- Ability to work with SMEs across a broad range of expert disciplines to structure content, write/shape scripts, and design practical activities and assessments.
- Familiarity with accessibility, clarity, usability, and learner-centered design for online learning.
- Comfort working with platform/LMS build requirements and course publishing workflows.
Project Management & Oversight
- Proven ability to plan and deliver projects end-to-end: schedules, budgets, resourcing, dependencies, and risk management.
- Strong stakeholder management, cross-functional coordination, and vendor/partner follow-up.
- High attention to detail, documentation discipline, and ability to manage multiple workstreams in parallel.
- Strong communication skills (Arabic and English) with the ability to synthesize complexity into clear action and reporting.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design/Educational Technology, Project Management, Business, Engineering, Social Sciences, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience delivering e-learning programs or digital education projects, including coordination across content, design, and production.
- Demonstrated experience working with partners/SMEs and managing deliverables under tight timelines.
- Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
Preferred Qualifications
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP/PMD/Agile) or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with MOOC/LMS environments and digital learning product workflows; basic HTML is a plus.
- Experience in reporting to partners/donors and aligning delivery with compliance/visibility requirements.
- Willingness and ability to travel within Jordan as well as the MENA region in support of Edraak projects and initiatives, attend international events and conferences as a delegate, speaker or presenter, as required
